Please note that you agree to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy & Safeguarding Policy when making an appointment with Herts Holistic to use our services.

LIMITED LIABILITY

By accepting our Terms of Service and/or booking or receiving any services provided by Herts Holistic you agree:

(a) To notify your therapist of any known medical condition or injuries, and to inform the therapist of any changes in your health and medical condition. You understand that there shall be no liability on the therapist’s part should you fail to do so.

(b) At Herts Holistic treatments are provided for relaxation and stress reduction. You understand that the Services offered are not a substitute for medical care and that your therapist is not qualified to diagnose, prescribe medications, or treat physical or mental illnesses.

(c) You understand that massage therapy is entirely therapeutic and non-sexual.

(d) Your therapist may refuse to treat a client or part of their body if they have a reasonable cause. Your therapist reserves the right to terminate any appointment if they believe it is unsafe or not in the client’s best interest to continue. Likewise, the client has the right to refuse, modify or terminate treatment at any time, regardless of prior consent.

CLIENTS AGED UNDER 18

Minors (12-18) can receive massage therapy at Herts Holistic with written parental/legal guardian consent. The parent or legal guardian must be present to help complete the Health Questionnaire Form for the minor, along with consent for the massage therapy session

· In collaboration with the consenting adult and child, the massage therapist will assist in establishing goals for the session(s).

· For clients aged 16 and under, the parent/guardian must be present in the treatment room.

· For clients aged 16+, a parent/guardian should be in the treatment room during each session. Once a comfortable therapeutic relationship has been established and the massage therapist, child and parent are comfortable, the parent/legal guardian does not have to be present in the room.

· Appropriate towel management will be used at all times during the massage, with only the areas being massaged uncovered.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Due to the nature of massage therapy and the need for close contact, Herts Holistic maintains a high standard of personal hygiene. We ask our guests to ensure they maintain a similar level of personal hygiene.

If your therapist is unwell, suffering from a cold, viral infection, or general ill health, they may choose not to work due to the risk of cross-contamination. This may result in Herts Holistic contacting you to inform you of the issue and to make suitable alternative arrangements at your next convenience.

Clients are asked not to attend a massage session if they are unwell, suffering from a cold, viral infection, or general ill-health. If you are unwell, please contact Herts Holistic by email or phone to rearrange your appointment. Please note that our Cancellation Policy may still apply in such circumstances.

SAFEGUARDING & PROHIBITED BEHAVIOUR

Herts Holistic holds the right to refuse treatment if a guest is physically, sexually, or verbally abusive towards any therapist or demonstrates inappropriate or aggressive behaviour. Such behaviour may result in a partial or total ban from Herts Holistic or criminal proceedings against them.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Our client's details and information are confidential and are safeguarded by Herts Holistic and Squarespace Scheduling. We will not share, sell, or distribute any of your information unless we are required to provide information by law to prevent harm or for child safeguarding purposes. Consultations and client treatment details will not be discussed with anyone other than the client unless the client is under 18 or has a care worker or guardian.

Any Herts Holistic intake forms fully comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Herts Holistic is also registered with the Information Commisioner’s Office.
